What's the difference between JPG and JPEG?

Nothing — they're the same format. JPG is just the 3-letter file extension some older Windows systems required.

Will compressing my JPG make it blurry?

Pixo's default quality (90) is tuned to be visually lossless for almost all photos. If you want to push it further, the Adjust panel shows you the trade-off with a live size preview before you commit.

Can I convert my JPG to another format instead?

Yes — use the Output Format option under Advanced to convert to PNG or WebP instead of keeping the original JPG format.

Tips for better results

JPG is a lossy format — each re-compression loses a little quality, so always compress from the original photo, not an already-compressed copy.
Photos with lots of fine detail (landscapes, textures) compress less than simple images — that's expected, not a bug.
If a JPG is still too large after compressing, resize its dimensions first (Advanced → Resize), then compress again.
