How it works

  1. 01Drop one or more GIF files into the box above.
  2. 02Click "Compress" — Pixo rebuilds each frame with a smaller color palette.
  3. 03Open a result’s "Adjust" panel to try fewer colors when you need a smaller GIF.
  4. 04Download each result, or grab all of them at once as a ZIP.

Tips for better results

  • GIF is best for simple animation, icons, and short loops. Long video-like GIFs can still stay large even after compression.
  • Lower color counts make GIFs smaller, but gradients and photos may show banding.
  • If the smart default cannot make a GIF smaller, Pixo keeps the original instead of giving you a larger file.
